When installing AccessData Collab, the install process doesn't finish in the command prompt window and the Collab service under Windows Services does not complete starting. Please refer to the screenshot below.



To resolve this:

  1. Uninstall the AccessData Collab application from Control Panel>Programs and Features
  2. Delete the CollabService folder from C:\ drive if it exists
  3. Delete the CollabService folder (as indicated by the red arrow in the screenshot below) from the registry located in the path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\CollabService
  4. Restart the server
  5. Install AccessData Collab once again (The C:\CollabService folder may need to be added as an exception in your security software to prevent this from happening in the future)
