Issue:

When the text content of the legal hold notice is formatted in word or another application, and then when copying and pasting the formatted text into Exterro, the formatting will change and this is the expected because the word and Exterro's legal hold notice editors have different formatting encodings.

Recommendation:

So the recommended approach is to make the formatting updates in Exterro’s legal hold text editor itself to make sure that the formatting is not changed when copying and pasting the contents from a different source.

In case you still want to apply the changes made in the other application we suggest you use formatted notice content in an HTML format so that the formatting of the notice contents will not change since Exterro stores the contents in the HTML format.
