Do you want to know how to create scheduled reports in the Exterro Application?


Steps to create a Scheduled Report:

Step 1: Navigate to the Report section from the Home page

Note:  At any point in time in Exterro products, you can click the home  icon to navigate to the Home page 

Step 2: Right-click on the report that needs to be scheduled. Choose Schedule -> On the next window choose to Create Schedule.


Step 3: Select whether the report needs to be scheduled immediately or on a specific date. If you opt for a specific date, you should pick the date by clicking the calendar icon. Then, select the Time Zone and Recurrence Type as required from the available list by clicking the dropdown.


Step 4: In the  Parameters tab, you can filter out the columns for which the report has to be generated.


Step 5: Next  “Output Options” tab by clicking on it in the top-right corner.

Enter how you would like to receive the file name, description, and other details like file format, file handling and output destination required for the scheduled report. Under the Output destination section, we can configure where the generated output file should be placed in the repository or an FTP server. 


If you chose the Output to FTP Folder checkbox, you can configure whether the file can be placed in Exterro’s SFTP or your SFTP

  1. If it is Exterro’s SFTP, please choose Transfer Protocol as SFTP and you need to configure the server address, directory, username and password provided during the implementation process

  2. If it is your SFTP, please enter the valid Transfer Protocol, server address, directory, username and password.

Step 6: Navigate to the Notifications tab. Configure the details of the recipients of the mail for the scheduled reports. You can also select the way in which the report has to be placed in the email.


Step 7: Configure the details of the recipients of the status mail on the fields given. You can also select if the notifications are required or not, whether to include report job information, and whether to include stack trace or not. After configuring click the save button on the button left corner.

Step 8: Enter the Scheduled Job Name and Scheduled Job description and click Save.


Notes: Once the scheduled report is created,the report can be editable only by the user who created it and the ownership of the report can't be changed to any user.
