To add a Record Type to a specific Business Function, follow the steps below.
NOTE: If you add or edit any Record Type, the Business Function will need to be Approved before the changes will be reflected in the reporting or on the Portal Page.
Go to Business Functions and select the specific Business Function in which you want to add a Record Type.
Click the ADD button on the left top column.
Add Record Types window will appear.
Search the available Record Types on the RIGHT SIDE of the window, by Name or Code. When you find the desired Record Type, select it. The Record Type name will appear on the left side of the window, indicating it's been added.
To add a Record Type that does not already exist in the system, use the CREATE A NEW RECORD TYPE box, at the BOTTOM of the window, then select CREATE. The new Record Type name will appear on the left side of the window, indicating it’s been added.
Hit ACCEPT when finished. This will add the Record Type to that Business Function.
Edit Description, Record Type Code or Trigger within a Record Type
When on the Record Type page, you have the ability to edit the DESCRIPTION, TRIGGER or RECORD TYPE CODE. Follow the steps below to make these updates.
Click the EDIT button on the top right.
A new pop up window will appear, to make the necessary edits.
NOTE: All changes you make on this page will affect all Business Functions with this same Record Type, a the bottom of the window you can see the Business Functions that also include this Record Type.
