How can I take a very long list of item numbers and filter on them or search for them?

 

Answer

You can use the included python script to do this:


  1. Download the attached file BuildItemNumFilter.exe
  2. Create a text file with the item numbers on each line and save it.
  3. Drag the text file to the BuildItemNumFilter.exe and it will generate an .xml file
  4. In your FTK case, go to Filter > Import and point it to the xml file.


Your new filter will be called "List Item Numbers" and should show you all the item numbers you had in the text file.
