Usually, your phone will be listed in Device Manager under something like "Android" or "ADB Devices" when the driver is installed properly. Another way to make sure that it's working is to use the ADB utility from the Google Android SDK by running the command "adb devices" from the directory containing adb.exe. This will list any devices that are communicating over ADB.
