PRODUCT/VERSION:
eDiscovery, Summation Pro, Summation Express

ISSUE/SYMPTOMS:

User logs into Summation application and cannot open their desired project in review mode. The "magnifying glass" icon for that project cannot be clicked because it is grayed-out.

CAUSE/DESCRIPTION:

Proper review permissions have not been granted to the non-admin user's login.
The project review icon will become clickable when the permission "Project Reviewer" is granted to the case role associated to the user or to the user's group.

RESOLUTION:

The project review icon will become clickable when the permission "Project Reviewer" is granted to the case role associated to the user or to the user's group.

Required Administration Workflow:
1) Login on Summation as a user with "Application administrator" rights.

From HOME screen, Permissions tab,
2) Assign a user or the user's group to a project
3) Select the user or the group that was assigned and click the ASSOCIATE button (looks like a chain icon and is at the bottom of the window, below project roles).
4) Associate a project role.

If you have already done all the steps 2, 3, 4 and your enduser still has the issue, then examine the project role that was associated in step 4 proceed to the next step.

5) Select the project role and view the permissions granted at the lower right...the permission required for a user to enter review mode (i.e. make the "magnifying glass" icon clickable) is named "Project Reviewer". Please grant that permission.
