Problem
Copycase failed but, when attempting to retry copycase, an error appears preventing copycase from running. The error is:
"There is a current copycase operation in effect on the source case."
Solution
The error "There is a current copycase operation in effect on the source case," means that a lock file named "copycaseinprogress.(f)" is present. The lock file may be located in the root of the casedata folder for either the source case, or the target case, or both.
To allow restart of copycase, all lock files must be removed.
Exit both the source and target cases in Summation Enterprise. Summation Enterprise should delete any copycase lock files, at which time you should be able to restart the copycase process again.
If any lock file(s) does not get deleted on its own, then try to delete the lock file(s) yourself. Once all "copycaseinprogress.(f)" files are gone from source and target cases, you should be able to start the copycase again.
Overview
The error "There is a current copycase operation in effect on the source case" means that one or more lock files has been left behind due to an interrupted copycase.
