Overview
This article discusses installing eDiscovery 7.4, which runs in conjunction with eDiscovery 7.1.1.
For assistance with licensing or installing eDiscovery, please contact sales@accessdata.com.
Prerequisites
- An existing, working installation of eDiscovery 7.1.1 with SP5 or newer
Notes & Precautions
- eDiscovery 7.4 must be integrated with eDiscovery 7.1.1.
- On new installs, eDiscovery 7.1.1 with SP5 must be setup and tested before installing eDiscovery 7.4.
- eDiscovery 7.4 should be installed on the eDiscovery 7.1 "App server" (whichever server is running the AccessData WCF Services).
- eDiscovery 7.4 uses a newer schema version when creating cases. To avoid potential problems from having multiple schema versions in the database, new cases should only be created in eDiscovery 7.1.
- eDiscovery 7.4 does not have web-based review. Case review should be done either in eDiscovery 7.1 or in QView.
- eDiscovery 7.1 and 7.4 use different base URLs for LitHolds, so you should choose which version's LitHold portal to use and stick with.
- Redactions made in eDiscovery 7.1 or earlier will not display in eDiscovery 7.4.
